Country Western Line Dance Class Descriptions
Line Dance 1A - Beginner Basics / Absolute Beginner Class:
For newcomers or for those that want to come back to dance after taking some time off. We will teach all basic steps, and classic & current dances. Intro with dance terminology and basic step knowledge.
Line Dance 1B - Beginner Class:
This class will build upon the skills learned at the Absolute Beginner level. Generally dance routines at this level would not be more than 32 counts but may contain more than one direction change as in two 1/2 turns in opposite directions.
Line Dance 1C - High Beginner - Bar Staples Class:
SOME EXPERIENCE HELPFUL. The Line Dance 1C class is for the beginners that want to know the popular & common "bar staples", as well as some new dances. We will teach more difficult combinations of steps. Dances will usually have 32-48 counts.
Line Dance 2 - Improver / Intermediate Class:
SOME EXPERIENCE NEEDED. The Line Dance 2 class is for the long-term dancers that want some new dances and a little challenge. We will teach more difficult combinations of steps. Dances will usually have 32 counts and some may contain 48 or 64 counts maximum.
Line Dance 3 - Intermediate / Advanced Class:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Those who have mastered a comprehensive range of step patterns and movements. Dances will feature interesting step combinations, pauses, syncopations, body movements, timing variations and styling. Routines could embrace any amount of turning techniques and run up to 64 counts as normal but, at this level, may contain phrasing.
Partner Dance - All levels:
Two Step & Patterned Partner dances (i.e. Cowboy Cha Cha, Denver Cha Cha, Sweetheart Schottische, Horseshoe, etc.) Each week we will learn a new pattern for Two Step & 1 Patterned Partner dance.
SERIES PARTY:
3 hours of non-stop dancing (minimal review), to practice all of the dances taught over the past 6 weeks of the series. All levels included - we will dance through the list of dances, week-by-week.
